“What we are trying to do is grow more growers - get people empowered to make a difference.”Barbara Lamborne
What started as a love of gardening inherited from Barbara Lamborne's mother has now become Greenstone Fields - a specialty cut flower farm based outside of Washington DC in the historic farming community of Wheatland Virginia.
Today over 80% of the cut flowers sold in the United States are imported. Barbara and other cut flower growers from the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers are rallying around the American Grown, Slow Flower movement.
